A bare yard with no real plan is one of the most common things we see. Gravel that isn't doing much. No plants. No grass. Just space that isn't working for anybody. That's exactly what we were dealing with here - both in the front and the back.

In the front, we came in and built out full planting beds with fresh shrubs and trees, layered in rich red-brown mulch, and made sure everything had a clean edge against the hardscape. The sprinkler system was already part of the plan - not an afterthought. Getting irrigation in before the plants go in means those new root systems have consistent moisture right from the start, which is the difference between plants that take hold and plants that struggle.

Out back, we started from scratch on the ground prep. Grading, leveling, running irrigation lines - all of it had to be right before a single piece of sod went down. We also laid large square pavers in a grid pattern through one section of the yard, giving that area a usable, structured surface. The sod section got its own clean mulch border, which keeps things tidy and helps hold moisture along the edges.

What we ended up with is a yard that actually works - front and back. The front has plants that will fill in and look better every year. The back has real grass where you want it, pavers where you need them, and mulch beds tying it all together. That's the kind of landscaping that adds value and holds up over time.

Every part of this came together because we planned it as a whole - sod prep, mulch installation, paver placement, plant selection, and irrigation all working together. When those pieces are coordinated from the start, the result shows.
