Sometimes a yard just needs a few targeted fixes to go from messy to sharp. That's exactly what this one needed - a leaning fence section that had shifted over time, a gravel bed that had lost its shape, and no real boundary keeping the lawn from creeping into the rock area. Small problems, but they add up fast.

We straightened the fence, gave it a fresh stain, and then built a small retaining wall along the fence line to give that gravel bed a proper edge. The wall creates a clean separation between the lawn and the rock, which means less maintenance for the homeowner and a much more finished look overall.

The gravel and rock feature on the other side of that wall pulls the whole thing together. Instead of rock scattered loosely against the fence with nothing holding it in place, it now sits neatly behind a solid border. That kind of structure keeps everything where it belongs - even after rain, foot traffic, and normal settling over time.

What we ended up with here is a yard that looks intentional. The fence is straight, the stain is fresh, the wall is level, and the gravel bed has a clean line separating it from the turf. It's the type of work that's easy to overlook until you actually do it - and then you wonder why you waited so long.
